NFL Mexico

The match

This match is part of the NFL international tour that visits London and México, will be played at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City on 19 November. Held every year for the last 3, NFL in Mexico is always a complete sold out. The Kansas City Chiefs (home team) and Los Angeles Rams (away team) are two teams with a long history and with many fans in Mexico so you can expect yet another packed stadium for the game.

The city

Mexico City is the capital of Mexico and the most populous city in North America. Mexico City is one of the most important cultural and financial centers in the Americas and the largest Spanish-speaking city in the world. In addition, the city has about 160 museums, the world’s greatest single metropolitan concentration, over 100 art galleries, and some 30 concert halls, all of which maintain a constant cultural activity during the whole year. It has either the third or fourth-highest number of theaters in the world.

The teams

The Kansas City Chiefs compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) West division. The team have won three AFL championships, in 1962, 1966, and 1969 and became the second AFL team (after the New York Jets) to defeat an NFL team in an AFL–NFL World Championship Game, when they defeated the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV. The Chiefs were also the second team, after the Green Bay Packers, to appear in more than one Super Bowl (and the first AFL team to do so) and the first to appear in the championship game in two different decades.

Los Angeles Rams compete in the National Football League (NFL), as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) West division. The Rams franchise has won three NFL championships and is the only franchise to win championships while representing three different cities (Cleveland in 1945, Los Angeles in 1951, and St. Louis in 1999). The team won Super Bowl XXXIV in a 23–16 victory over the Tennessee Titans. In January 2016 the Rams returned to Los Angeles city for the 2016 NFL season.
